I bought this, but haven’t watched it yet.  Live poetry performances from Anis Mojgani, Buddy Wakefield, and Derrick Brown.  Come watch it with me.  We can drink my fireside coffee, it tastes exactly how you think train rides through European country sides feel when you rest your head against the window.  I’d promise you use of my sea otter mug, but let’s not rush things.

There are moments of clarity daily. They open me up with a breath and keep me calm. They feed me the answers. And they hold me lovingly. They are gospelstiches. My childish ass has got to let them heal. This feud I’m having with myself isn’t even original. But it is thick and rooted. Here’s to today, slowing down, suspending judgment, and breast strokes through chaos.

If they said that they did not have any toys
I’d be like, “What the fuck?!
Buddy Wakefield (What Do You People Do?)

Yesterday it hit 99 degrees, today it hit 95.  I hate summer weather.  I think I’m one of the few that do.  Weather that warm makes for one awful, unpleasant season.  Part of my hate may be due to the fact that I can no longer wear flannel button ups and jeans everyday.  I wanna live in a place that never exceeds 90 degrees.  The cooler and rainier the better.  Despite not living in Arizona, this poem best sums up my hate for hot summer weather. Summer’s not all bad.  This warm weather means more girls in sundresses, which may be my favorite thing in the world (it is).

Happy Mother’s Day!

So please, stop inviting all these walls
into wide open spaces.

I know everything is out there.
It’s why they call it everything.
